My name is iain and I am a freelance Photographer from Kent, South East England. My love of photography started as it did for a lot of people, as a much loved hobby. Over the years I have been lucky enough to be able to build and knowledge and skills and turn that hobby into a profession.
Having been around cars and motorsport for all of my working life, that is what my photography naturally centred around and Over the years I have developed a speciality for the subject. Always striving to improve my skills, I took the opportunity to expand into family occasions such as weddings and christenings.
Now I know exactly what you are thinking, how can I photograph two such contrasting subjects. The answer to which is very easy. Yes when I photograph automotive, the subject is usually static and you can take your time to set the shot you are chasing, but motorsport is very similar to shooting a wedding. Both events you are governed by a timetable and there is no time for time for mistakes or second chases. so there is a pressure to make sure that you get the right shots, at the right time and first time otherwise that moment is gone and you won't be able to capture it again.
